Hey Fins' Fans - it was great to see so many new and returning faces yesterday! We aim to make this fun for kids and parents, so let us know if you have questions or concerns! Here's what I've got for you today:

**************************************************************************************************Practice Times!

May 31 - swim test for new divers, especially young ones -  to swim a lap independently and tread water - 5-6pm (each child only will be active for 5 minutes). If you can't make this time, just check in with Emma before your child's first practice.

June 1 to June 16 - Monday through Friday - practices start at 5pm and 6pm - please come to whichever time your schedule permits.  Friday 6pm practices will be held.

June 17 - Friday - practices at 4pm and 5pm

June 20 - July 18 - Monday through Friday - 4pm - 8 and unders; 5pm - 9-12 year olds; and 6pm - 15+.  If you can't come during this time, come when you can. Friday 6pm practice is currently scheduled, but may be canceled depending on attendance.

Monday Funday (or is it Funday Monday?) - every Monday after a meet, at all practices, there will be games and popsicles. This includes Monday, July 18.

Sign up to volunteer

We have lots of opportunities to help out with the dive team.  We can't run meets or a season without every family taking on some volunteer jobs. If each family signs up for 3 jobs, we'll have it all covered!

Click on this link to go to the schedule. Once you are at the schedule you can click on the button that says "Job Sign Up open."  You can then put your name in for any of the available jobs (except judge and ref, unless you are certified).

We need 1-2 people to sign up now to manage concessions and I've included that as an event under the May 31 date.  We also need 2 people to sign up to be banquet coordinators and that is listed under July 24 Banquet event.  You will need to plan and be in attendance, but you will have a team of other swim and dive parents helping out.

Judging and refereeing Clinics

If you would like to learn more about diving, please attend one of these judging and/or refereeing clinics. Once you have taken the course, you will be certified to judge/ref but you don't have to right away. You are welcome to shadow a judge or ref for a meet or two and then sign up officially or you may just enjoy your new found knowledge! We will send out the zoom links as soon as we have them.

• Clinic #1: Thursday, June 2nd (7:00pm-8:15pm) for Judges & (8:30pm-9:00pm-ish) for Referees – (online ZOOM – re-certification based)

• Clinic #2: Thursday, June 9th (7:00pm-8:15pm) for Judges & (8:30pm-9:00pm-ish) for Referees – (online ZOOM – re-certification based)

• Clinic #3: Sunday, June 12th (time TBD, then poolside demo divers for about 20-30 mins) for NEW Judges - this will be at Regency Estates pool and you will also have a chance to judge right away if you want.

• Clinic #4: Thursday, June 16th (7:00pm-8:15pm) for Judges & (8:30pm-9:00pm-ish) for Referees – (online ZOOM – both new & vet judges)
