Fins Dive Update Sunday, July 10

Let's Go Fins!

We had some excellent diving yesterday at our meet against Old Georgetown and celebrated our two graduating seniors Stefany Sparks and Jack Collard!  Sadly, we lost the meet 49-40. We have a lot going on in the last weeks of the season.  Please save this email for future reference. Thanks, Katie and Dawn

Beaver Dam trip - July 19

Many folks from the swim and dive teams head up to Beaver Dam for a day of fun.  Beaver Dam is an old quarry turned into a swimming hole.  There are variety of things to play on - like a rope swing and spinning log. Please review the Beaver Dam website and talk to other parents who have been there for more information. Many parents wait until their kids are a bit older and are strong swimmers before they decide to make this outing. https://beaverdamswimmingclub.com/index.html

Swim and Dive Banquet

The swim and dive banquet is Sunday July 24 from 5pm-10pm.  Dinner is catered by the Big Greek Cafe and tickets are $22/adult and $14/child 12 and under.  Adults can. purchase a bottomless beer and wine cup for $10.  If you do not wish to purchase dinner, you can register as just attending for $0 and bring your own dinner.  We ask you to register so we know how many tables to set up.

At 7pm the swim and dive coaches will give out the season awards and then there is cake!  About 8:30pm we'll move to the hillside to watch slide shows of the swim and dive seasons and of each senior.

We need parents to help out with a variety of jobs at the event so if you haven't been able to volunteer yet this season, there is another chance.

We expect to open registration and job sign up in the next day or so.
