Greetings Dive families - 

We've had a great couple of weeks with new and returning divers getting ready for our season which starts Sunday against Manor Woods at home! In this message:

Cancel today for registration refund:

If your child has decided diving is not their thing this summer, you can get a refund of $140 if you email [email protected] by 5pm today.

Pasta Party

All swim and dive families are invited to bring a dish to share for fun and fellowship and to get excited for this weekend's meets. Bring your dish to the grill area tonight between 6-6:30. Dinner starts at 6:30pm.

Dive Sheets

Today at practice the coaches will show your child their dive sheet. This is the paper that lists all the dives the diver will do at Sunday's meet. It's also where the score is recorded during the meet. The coaches will review it with your child and then ask the child to sign it.

Details for Sunday's meet:

• Volunteers - there are about 20 jobs that happen during the course of a home meet! Thanks to the many parents who have already signed up, we are almost to the finish line for Sunday. If you haven't already, please sign up for one right now by clicking here and then in the right hand column, click on the green Sign Up button under the event titled Manor Woods at Rock Creek. We still need someone to buy and cut up mangoes for concessions (newly added) and one judge in the first half. In the second half we need a meet secretary (tallies the scores and writes ribbons, easy to learn), a hospitality person, a photographer and folks to help clean up. 
• Warm ups begin at 2pm and end at 3:30pm when Manor Woods' divers will take the boards. Your diver can come at anytime during this window.
• Meet timing - The meet is divided into 2 halves. The first half starts at 4pm and ends about 6pm. The 8 and under, 9-10, and 11-12 divers will compete during this time. There will be a break and about a 20 minute warm up for the older divers before starting the 2nd half of the meet for the 13-14 and 15-18 divers. The whole meet will end between 7:30-8pm. We encourage all divers to come for the whole meet regardless of which half you dive in - it is great for team spirit to be there supporting each other!
