MDC - club diving and lessons

A message from the summer diving board president about winter diving club and diving lessons:
Dear Dive Reps, Please spread the word to parents that Montgomery County's club diving team, MDC, will hold tryouts for its National Development Program on the following dates:
Friday, August 22nd at 9:00 am, 10:00 am, and 11:00 am, and Saturday, August 23rd, at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, and 12:00 pm. Each one-hour session is limited to twenty participants, and sign-ups will be posted on Active Montgomery soon. Interested divers should sign up for a single one-hour session.
The National Development Program bridges the gap between recreational and diving at the JO (junior olympic) level. If admitted to the NDP program, divers will train on all three levels (1m, 3m, and platform) with the goal of advancing to compete in national meets through USA Diving or Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). (Note that one requirement for NDP divers over the age of 10 is to have a back-dive tuck.) NDP requires a level of commitment to conditioning in dryland and water practice.
MDC also provides diving lessons through the county. Registration for these classes is now live on Active Montgomery. These classes will fill up fast!
