Dive Reminders and Updates for the week of 7/6
Hello dive families,
We hope everyone enjoyed the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Thank you to all of the divers and families that participated and helped out during our meet against Tanterra pool on Sunday. Unfortunately, the storms rolled in during the 15-18 girls event and the meet had to be canceled. Rock Creek finished at 27 and Tanterra at 44.
This week, the pool will be hosting a swim meet on Wednesday and will close early. Therefore, there will only be a 4:15 p.m. practice session.
It's hard to believe that this Sunday will be our last regular meet of the season! It will be an away meet against North Chevy Chase pool. Please make sure to rsvp and sign-up for jobs using the following link https://rockcreekdive.
- Address: The North Chevy Chase pool is at 8817 Brierly Road, Chevy Chase, MD 20815.
- Parking: You are welcome to park in the lot, along Brierly Road, or anywhere in the neighborhood. Just please do not block any driveways.
- Warm ups: NCC 3:00-3:30 PM; Rock Creek 3:30-4:00 PM
- We will set up a team area for you behind the diving boards.
- 4:00 PM Meet Begins. We will have the break after the 11/12 age groups. We should note that during the break, we will be celebrating one of our seniors (and Assistant Dive Coach), Ellie Seiler.
- Concessions: Our Sharx Bite Cafe will be open with a range of dinner items - burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, salad, fruit, snacks, drinks and more!
- Visiting teams' families may use the pool during the meet.
